21. Lauf “Rund um die Wittenburger Mühle”

Heute fuhr ich mit Stephan zum Einstand in die Laufcupsaison nach Wittenburg, wo sich alles zusammen fand, was Rang und Namen hat in der Laufszene MVs.
Gestern ließ ich es relativ locker angehen. Ich schlief mich mal kräftig aus und legte meine REKOM-Einheit auf die Mittagszeit, um diese Einheit mit einem Abstecher in die Uni-Sporthalle verbinden zu können, wo Jörg seinen Ruderergometer-WK hatte. Es ist immer wieder erstaunlich wie sehr er sich quälen kann, erstaunlicher ist nur noch, was für Gesichtsentgleisungen er dabei bekommt. Die Fotos erspare ich allen Lesenden lieber. 
Insgesamt lief ich in dieser Einheit 9.32 km im 4:35er-Schnitt. Für den Nachmittag verabredete ich mich dann mit Stephan und Jörg zum Aquajoggen. Stephan kürzte die Einheit etwas ab, Jörg und ich blieben, bis wir Rausgeschmissen wurden, insgesamt 95 Minuten im Wasser.
Heute gings dann, wie erwähnt, nach Wittenburg. Es war leicht stürmisch und schauerte willkürlich, aber Laufen war allemal noch möglich, auch wenn "Emma" noch nicht ganz verschwunden war. In MV wurden wir von diesem Orkan glücklicherweise nur leicht in die Mangel genommen. In Wittenburg angekommen traf ich viele bekannte Gesichter wieder. Kaum jemand fehlte. So checkte ich dann auch gleich mal die Konkurrenz ab. Da Tom seine leistungsorientierte Laufbahn beendet hatte und Stefan z.Z. in den USA verweilt, war Danny Thewes für mich die einzige ernstzunehmende Konkurrenz in Wittenburg. Ich informierte mich über die Strecke und erfuhr, dass es sich dabei um einen dreimal zu durchlaufenden Rundkurs handelt, wobei eine Runde lt. Google Earth 2.63 km lang ist. Vor und nach den Runden wurden noch kleine Start- bzw. Zielabschnitte gelaufen, um die 10 km voll zu machen. Ich lief mit Stephan die Runde einmal ab. Der erste Teil der Runde verläuft leicht bergauf, dann kam ein ebener, vom Rückenwind unterstützter Abschnitt, worauf es dann mit erheblichem Gegenwind wieder leicht bergab ging. Ohne Wind ist diese Strecke auf alle Fälle bestzeitentauglich. Der Start erfolgte um 10 Uhr zusammen mit der 5 km-Konkurrenz. Wie das immer so ist, liefen mit dem Startschuß die ambitionierten Läufer mit einem Affenzahn los, der sowieso von keinem hätte durchgehalten werden können. So kam es dann auch, dass nach ca. 200 m das Tempo extrem gedrosselt wurde, so dass sich eine Läufertraube bildete. Und ich mittendrin. Die liefen alle plötzlich so langsam, dass ich mich fühlte, wie in einem Trainingslauf bei mittlerer Intensität. Solange wir noch gegen den Wind liefen schaute ich mir das Ganze an, aber als sich die Laufrichtung änderte und wir mit Rückenwind weiterlaufen durften, setzte ich einen kurzen Spurt an um mich nach vorne zu setzen und riss das Feld auseinander. Ein paar Läufer konnten Anschluß halten, aber bei einigen von denen war dies nur eine Verzweiflungstat. Nach ca. 1.5 km ging es auf die erste Runde. Ich gab weiter das Tempo vor und versuchte meine zwei bis drei verbliebenen Verfolger loszuwerden. Einer, nämlich Danny, ließ sich partout nicht abschütteln. Ende der ersten Runde ging es auf den Gegenwind-Abschnitt. Dort schloss Danny zu mir auf und ich musste mir eingestehen, dass ich ihn wohl so früh im Rennen nicht loswerden würde. Also lief ich taktisch weiter. Die erste Runde lief ich in 8:46 min, also genau im 3:20er-Tempo. Ab der zweiten Runde ließ ich Danny das Tempo bestimmen und lief neben ihm her, ab und an auch mal im Windschatten. Zweite Runde: 9 Minuten. Nun wurde es langsam spannend und es fing an zu regnen. Ich versuchte zu schätzen, ob Danny etwas an Tempo verlor, aber er lief ein sehr konstantes Tempo. Endlich mal einer, der das auch kann. Ich bin vorher noch nie gegen ihn gelaufen und war natürlich sehr gespannt, wie er läuft. Und vor allem, ob ich ihn knacken kann auf der Strecke. Kurz bevor es auf den Gegenwind-Abschnitt der dritten und letzten Runde ging versuchte ich mit einem kleinen, wenig beherzten Antritt eine Lücke zu reissen. Aber Danny blieb dran, auch wenn eine kleine Lücke entstand. Ich musste aber einsehen, dass ich ihn heute nicht knacken konnte und hoffte auf die Zielgerade. Ich überlegte mir, wo ich den Zielspurt ansetzen sollte und sparte weiterhin meine Körner, indem ich neben Danny herlief. Da ich noch nie gegen ihn gelaufen bin, konnte ich auch schlecht einschätzen, ob er nicht auch nur mit mir spielte, so wie ich mit ihm. Ich war mir keineswegs siegessicher, zumal ich weiß, dass er ungefähr auf meinem Leistungsniveau sein sollte. Gegen Ende der dritten Runde zog ich das Tempo langsam an, ging nach vorne und versuchte mit dieser kleinen Tempoverschärfung nochmals Danny auf Abstand zu bringen. Erfolglos! Also blieb mir nur die Harakiri-Methode auf der Zielgeraden. Letzte Runde: 8:53 min. Gleich zu Beginn der Zielgeraden setzte ich den Zielspurt an und endlich konnte ich den Abstand zu Danny vergrößern. Blöderweise hatte ich die Länge der Zielgeraden etwas zu kurz eingeschätzt. Letztendlich war sie mit 0.55 km doppelt so lang wie geschätzt. Hinzu kam der Gegenwind und so konnte ich natürlich mein Zielspurttempo nicht bis ins Ziel halten, ich quälte mich aber wie selten zuvor. Irgendwann nahm ich meine Umwelt nicht mehr so recht wahr und so hatte ich auch keine Ahnung wo Danny sich befand, ob er näher kam oder nicht. Ich hörte jemanden rufen: "Lauf, Danny!", was mich veranlasste noch mehr aus mir herauszuholen. Aber ich war schon verdammt blau und konnte kaum noch meine Beine heben, lief aber dennoch mit einem Vorsprung von 10 Sekunden in 33:06 min über die Ziellinie. Dort konnte ich mich nicht mehr auf den Beinen halten und schmiss mich auf die klatschnasse Strasse. Aber ne halbe Minute später stand ich dann schon wieder aufrecht. Halb so wild! Sofort wurde ich zum ausgiebigen Interview (SVZ) zitiert und wartete dann auf die Siegerehrung. Es gab noch eine Tombola mit vielen Preisen für den Gaumen. Zum Schluss war noch so viel von dem Zeug übrig, dass man sich nach Lust, Laune und Appetit bedienen konnte. Die Siegerehrung ließ auf sich warten, aber das war abzusehen, da im Laufcup alle AK-podiumsplatzierten geehrt werden. Zu recht! Jedenfalls bekam ich nen riesen Pokal. Bilder von der Siegerehrung werde ich in den nächsten Tagen ins Fotoalbum stellen. Insgesamt ist der Lauf in Wittenburg sehr zu empfehlen, nicht zuletzt, da sehr für das Wohl der Läufer gesorgt wird. Nur dürfte die Streckenlänge nicht ganz stimmen. Mit Google Earth habe ich die drei Runden und die Zielgerade vermessen können. Der Start lag aber irgendwo auf der Zielgeraden an sehr unmarkanter Stelle. So ließ sich das erste Teilstück bis zum Beginn des Rundkurses nur schätzen. Ich denke 1.44 km sollten Pi mal Daumen stimmen. Nach meiner Splitlap-Zeit für diesen Abschnitt entspricht dies einem Tempo von 3:19 min/km. Möglicherweise ist das noch zu hoch geschätzt, aber ich will hier auch keine Haarspalterei betreiben. Jedenfalls ergibt sich somit insgesamt eine gelaufene Distanz von ca. 9.9 km. Somit bin ich heute ein Durchschnittstempo von ca. 3:21 min/km gelaufen. Angesichts des Windes und des Taktierens eine solide Leistung. Ohne Wind und Taktik hätte ich bestimmt 45 sek. schneller sein können. Und ohne das 5-stündige Training vom Freitag bestimmt noch schneller, denn ein wenig hat heute die Spritzigkeit gefehlt. mfg Matze
